Installing on macOS or staying in the browser in Uzbekistan
The desktop route makes sense on a Mac that belongs to you and stays on a desk. Templates, chart arrangements and timeframe sets are stored locally, so the terminal reopens in the state it was closed in, and MetaTrader 4 and 5 both run on macOS as they do on Windows. That local memory is the real difference between the two routes.
The browser route makes sense on a Mac that is issued by an employer, shared at home, or simply short of disk space. Nothing is installed, so nothing has to be uninstalled, and there is no need for administrator rights on a managed machine. The account is reached through the Personal Area, and a laptop that has been asleep reads its state from the server when the network returns.
Local hours make the laptop a reasonable centre of gravity here. With Uzbekistan on UTC+5, the European open falls in the early afternoon and the American open in the evening, so a machine that is carried home covers both ends of the day without a desktop being left running.
